Synthetic fibre ropes

A SUITABLE PRODUCT FOR EVERY PURPOSE

Synthetic raw materials are composed of different molecules. The composition of the molecules, the combination of the types of yarn and the production technique applied determine the quality of the rope. Depending on the requirements set by the purpose of
the rope, we will create the ideal mixture.

Polypropylene multifilament

Polypropylene multifilament doesn’t absorb water. It is a light weight, flexible rope with a soft feeling, it is easy to splice and has a favourable price.

Polypropylene Splitfilm

Polypropylene Splitfilm is available in several colours. Polypropylene Splitfilm does not absorb water, so it floats.

Polyamid / Nylon

Nylon is a very strong synthetic fibre rope with excellent shock absorption. Its high elongation makes this rope ideal for towing and mooring appliapproxtions. Nylon ropes offer a greater breaking strength than Polyester and Polysteel. Nylon ropes loose strength
in wet conditions.

Polyester

Langmantouw Polyester is made from high tenacity polyester yarns. Polyester has in wet and dry condition the same breaking strength and will not get stiff during use. Available in braided, spiral braided, twisted and octoplait constructions.

Coloured cord

Coloured cord made form polypropylene multifilament

Shockcord

Langmantouw shockcord is made from a natural latex with a high tenacity polyester cover.

Duoflex

Duoflex is a combination rope of polyester and polypropylene. Although the breaking load is similar to polyamide/nylon. Duoflex offers many advantages. Duoflex will not get stiff through the influence of the weather. The breaking load will be the same, whether it is dry or wet. Duoflex has a white colour.

Polysteel

Polysteel® ropes are manufactured from extruded copolymer (polypropylene and polyethylene) fibers whose unique properties result in ropes that, size for size, are almost triple the strength of traditional high quality manila rope, and twice the strength of conventional polypropylene rope. Not only are Polysteel® ropes far stronger, but they weigh much less, making them easier to handle.

Staple Spun

Staple Spun is used for a variety of marine applications. It has good chemiapproxl resistance and very little water absorption. It has a higher abrasion resistance and longer working life compare to splitfilm. Polypropylene rope will float and maintain its flexibility
and strength in both wet and dry conditions.

Newport

Newport is a 32 plaited polyester with a 3-strand twisted polyester core. Due to this special construction this line has a high strength and low stretch. Three indential markers are typical for this type of line.

Winchport

Winchport is a double braided rope of 100% high tenacity polyester yarns. The construction of the cover is 32 plaited. The core is tandem braided. Winchport is highly resistant when used for stoppers and winches. Suitable for halyards, genua and spinnaker ropes.

Hamilton

Hamilton is a double braided rope of continuous filament Polyester. The cover is manufactured of a 24 braid High Tenacity Polyester yarns. The core is manufactured of 16 plait in tandem braided High Tenacity Polyester yarns. Owing this construction it is flexible, strong and durable. This series of sheets is always distinguished by a navy blue marker.

Spunport

Spunport is a low stretch line with a soft matt non-slip finish, which is great to handle and has a good grip in wet or dry conditions. Depending on the diameter this line has a 16- or 32 braided cover of spun polyester; the core is braided from high tenacity polyester yarns.

Coverport

Coverport is a spiral braided line, made from high tenacity polyester yarns. Due to this unique type of braiding the core and cover are interlocked. Coverport has no slippage is abrasion resistant, has low stretch, maximum hold in halyard clutches and ideal on
winches.

Tuning

Tuning is a High Performance rope which has a 16 plait cover of high tenacity polyester yarns. The core is made from HMPE fibres. Characteristics of tuning: high strength, low stretch and light weight.

Moravia

Moravia is a double braided rope of continuous filament Polyester yarns. The cover is manufactured of 16, 24 or 32 braid high tenacity yarns. The core is tandem braided.
Owing this construction it is flexible, strong and durable. This rope is easy to splice and special designed for mooring lines.

Beaufort

Beaufort is a double braided rope of continuous filament Polyester yarns. The cover is manufactured of 16, 24 or 32 braid high tenacity yarns. The core is tandem braided.
Owing this construction it is flexible, strong and durable. This rope is easy to splice and special designed for mooring lines.

Skipping-rope

Skipping-rope is produced of Polypropylene Multifilament. Due to the special braiding construction is it very suitable for this appliapproxtion. It is a flexible rope with a soft feeling.
Skipping-rope approxn be supplied in several colours.

Brickcord

As the name explains, it is a cord, which is used at brickwork to align.
